'Sell Out!' in Pusan

The 'Sell Out!' screening we attended in Pusan received wonderful response. Some audiences thought it was one of the best film at the festival. Again, lots of laughter, applause and crazy cheering at the end. We will be in Hong Kong next as part of the HK Asian Film Festival on 24th and 25th October.

The Young Cinema Award

SELL OUT! has just won the Young Cinema Award for Alternative Vision from the Venice Film Festival! The Young Cinema jury is made up of 80 persons aged 18-25. The Alternative Vision award is the only one we qualified for (since we were not in the Main Competition). Too bad we didn't get the Critic's Week prize but that was decided by jury of only 3 people...

Vancouver, Zurich and Pusan

"Sell Out!" is off to the Vancouver International Film Festival and the Zurich Film Festival next (with screenings on the same day! - 28 September 2008). And then we're off to the Pusan International Film Fest in October :-)

Back from Venice

so, anyway, we're all back from Venice! it was a crazy, wonderful, unexpected experience! the critics' week people were terrific and took great care of us and our audiences were such happy, joyful people (except from one old scrooge from a certain influential industry publication, ha ha) who seemed to love and support the film as if it were their own!

"It so seems that Orson Welles’ lesson in Citizen Kane is still very relevant, althought new and more appealing protagonists are appearing, such as Peter Davis in Sell Out–some really hot guy, whom we love to hear speak (saying no matter what) again and again."

Jerrica and Peter are getting mobbed by fans and autograph hunters. If you google "Peter Davis" and "$e11.ou7!" under blogs, you will find a Canadian girl with a crush on our lead actor, ha ha.

Sell Out! Premiere

Our world premiere went very well! We actually have fans now, ha ha. People are asking for our "Sell Out!" badges and posters. And everyone's asking if we'll have a soundtrack CD :-) Our team did such great work promoting the film, especially Zoe (who's our "PR manager") and Faye (James' GF) who's our top "salesperson"!
