Jerrica and Peter are getting mobbed by fans and autograph hunters. If you google "Peter Davis" and "$e11.ou7!" under blogs, you will find a Canadian girl with a crush on our lead actor, ha ha.

Our world premiere went very well! We actually have fans now, ha ha. People are asking for our "Sell Out!" badges and posters. And everyone's asking if we'll have a soundtrack CD :-) Our team did such great work promoting the film, especially Zoe (who's our "PR manager") and Faye (James' GF) who's our top "salesperson"!

Tickets are all GONE for the 2pm screening!

Sell Out! Press Screening over! I'm falling asleep and running out of precious internet connection credit, but here's a quick note to say our press screening went remarkably well, judging by the laughter, happy faces and overheard comments. Of course we won't know for sure until the reviews (if any) appear.

Because our screening was packed (Zoe has a video of the long and winding queue), only Eric and I were allowed into the screening. Anyway, I'll write more tomorrow after our official World Premiere at 2PM Venice time. And maybe, for once, someone else will chip in :-)

I got stopped at these Dubai customs just now for hauling 2 reels of film in my hand-carry bag (Reels 3 and 6, to be precise). Just as I was let off, Eric came up in the queue and presented his two colourful shopping bags with 3 reels of "Sell Out!" A few steps behind was Jerrica.

We've got our printed press booklets, postcards and posters! The booklets and postcards look great... so professional, ha ha. That's because they were done by Leon, who played the ass-kissing accountant in our film but is actually a famous designer, and his designer Jiad Li.

Venice seems so far away, so many hours of sitting and waiting. I'm wondering how it would be like to travel to the Vancouver International Film Festival in late September. Or should I? I was discussing with Eric earlier. Should we attend Vancouver or the Zurich Film Festival? Our screenings are on the same day at both festivals! But we are in competition in Zurich...

Any thoughts?

Stuck in Dubai Airport. Got to be here for 6 hours. Horrible flight from KL... seats were hard and too high for short people like me, ha ha. Couldn't sleep at all and couldn't read or write. I had an aisle seat; if I turned on my light the two guys to my left wouldn't have been able to sleep. So I watched "What Happens in Vegas" and about two thirds of "Fool's Gold" to help me fall asleep.

Eric (cameraman) managed to sneak us into the Priority Class lounge where there's free Internet and breakfast. Also comfy sofas. He's sleeping on one of them, with wife Iris (who plays Mui Min in our film) in the next seat chatting with Jerrica who's got her legs curled on the sofa and is scratching away at her feet.

I am behind them, typing furiously and waiting for my email to the Hong Kong Asian Film Festival to go through so I can email them more pix.
